Casale del Bosco
The Casale del Bosco winery shines with Tuscan red wines that are celebrated worldwide. The approximately 80 hectares of vineyards owned by the Nardi family are nestled southeast of Florence in the village of Montalcino, along the gentle hills of Tuscany. In 1951, Silvio Nardi acquired the winery. He is considered a pioneer in the cultivation of Brunello di Montalcino. The wine, produced from a Sangiovese clone, is now among the best red wines in Italy. The warm, Mediterranean climate of the region favors the ripening of the sun-loving Sangiovese grape. The resulting DOCG wine initially ages for several years in wooden barrels and then in the bottle. It is released for sale no earlier than the fifth year after the harvest.
