8.9 Use of payment service providers (payment services)

- Apple Pay

If you choose the payment method “Apple Pay” from Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, the payment is processed via the Apple Pay feature on your device running iOS, watchOS, or macOS by charging a payment card stored in Apple Pay. Apple Pay uses security features integrated into your device’s hardware and software to protect your transactions. To authorize a payment, you must enter a code you previously set and verify using the Face ID or Touch ID feature of your device.

For payment processing purposes, the information you provide during the order process along with your order details is transmitted to Apple in encrypted form. Apple then re-encrypts this data with a developer-specific key before sending it to the payment service provider of the payment card stored in Apple Pay to complete the payment. The encryption ensures that only the website where the purchase was made can access the payment data. After the payment is completed, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific dynamic security code to the originating website to confirm the payment success.

If personal data is processed during the described transmissions, the processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Apple stores anonymized transaction data, including the approximate purchase amount, approximate date and time, and whether the transaction was successful. Anonymization completely excludes any personal reference. Apple uses the anonymized data to improve Apple Pay and other Apple products and services.

When you use Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase made via Safari on your Mac, the Mac and the authorization device communicate through an encrypted channel on Apple’s servers. Apple does not process or store any of this information in a way that can identify you. You can disable the option to use Apple Pay on your Mac in your iPhone settings. Go to “Wallet & Apple Pay” and turn off “Allow Payments on Mac.”

10.2 Google Tag Manager

This website uses "Google Tag Manager," a service of the following provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter: "Google").

Google Tag Manager provides a technical basis to bundle various web applications, including tracking and analytics services, and to calibrate, control, and link them to conditions via a unified user interface. Google Tag Manager itself does not store or read any information on user devices. The service also does not perform independent data analyses. However, when a page is accessed, Google Tag Manager transmits your IP address to Google, where it may be stored. Transmission to servers of Google LLC in the USA is also possible.

This processing is only carried out if you have given us your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without this consent, the use of Google Tag Manager during your visit to the site will not take place. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our website visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

10.3 Shopify Analytics

This website uses the web analytics service of the following provider: Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland

Data is also transferred to: Shopify Inc., 150 Elgin St, Ottawa, ON K2P 1L4, Canada

Using cookies and/or similar technologies (tracking pixels, web beacons, algorithms to read device and browser information), the service collects and stores pseudonymized visitor data, including information about the device used such as the IP address and browser details, to analyze usage behavior on our website for statistical purposes and to create pseudonymized usage profiles. This includes the evaluation of movement patterns (so-called heatmaps), which show the duration of page visits as well as interactions with page content (e.g., text entries, scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs). The pseudonymization generally excludes direct personal identification. No merging with personal data collected by other means takes place.

All the above-described processing, especially reading or storing information on the device used, is only carried out if you have given us your explicit consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by disabling this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

10.4 Shopify Network Intelligence

This website uses the "Shopify Network Intelligence" function from the following provider: Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland ("Shopify")

Using this function, certain customer data (order and search histories, location information, and transaction details), if collected, are automatically transmitted to Shopify in pseudonymized form, processed by Shopify, and then used for statistical and analytical purposes.

The analysis results may also include pseudonymized data from customers of other Shopify merchants, without any merchant having individual access to these external data sets beyond their own customer base.

Shopify does not gain access to clear data during processing but automatically encrypts the information during the transmission process using a special algorithm.

The processing is carried out according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of our shop's reach and the acceptance of our offer for optimization purposes.

As part of the aforementioned processing, data may also be transferred to: Shopify Inc., 150 Elgin St, Ottawa, ON K2P 1L4, Canada

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our website visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

When data is transferred to Canada, an adequate level of data protection is ensured by an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

11) Retargeting/Remarketing and Conversion Tracking

11.1 Meta Pixel

Within our online offering, we use the service "Meta Pixel" from the following provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quare, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Meta")

If a user clicks on an ad placed by us on Facebook and/or Instagram, the URL of our linked page is extended by a parameter using the "Meta Pixel." This URL parameter is then entered into the user's browser after redirection by a cookie set by our linked page itself.

This allows Meta to identify visitors to our online offering as a target audience for displaying ads (so-called "ads"). Accordingly, we use the service to show Facebook and/or Instagram ads placed by us only to users who have shown interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g., interests in specific topics or products determined by the websites visited) that we transmit to Meta (so-called "Custom Audiences").

On the other hand, the "Meta Pixel" can track whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on an advertisement and what actions they take there (so-called "conversion tracking").

The data collected is anonymous to us, so it does not allow conclusions about the identity of users. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta, making it possible to link it to the respective user profile, and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes.

All processing described above, especially setting cookies to read information on the device used, is only carried out if you have given us your explicit consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect by disabling this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our website visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

The information generated by Meta is usually transmitted to a Meta server and stored there; in this context, it may also be transferred to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which, based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission, ensures compliance with the European data protection level.

11.2 Google Ads Remarketing

This website uses retargeting technology from the following provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland

For this purpose, Google sets a cookie in the browser of your device, which automatically enables interest-based advertising using a pseudonymous cookie ID and based on the pages you have visited. Further data processing only takes place if you have consented to Google linking your internet and app browsing history with your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize ads you view on the web. If you are logged into Google during your visit to our website, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing. For this, your personal data is temporarily linked with Google Analytics data by Google to form audiences. When using Google Ads remarketing, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.

All processing described above, especially the setting of cookies to read information on the device used, is only carried out if you have given us your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without this consent, the use of retargeting technology during your visit to the site will not take place.

You can revoke your given consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which, based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission, ensures compliance with the European data protection level.

11.3 Google Ads Conversion Tracking

This website uses the online advertising program "Google Ads" and, within the framework of Google Ads, the conversion tracking of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google").

We use the Google Ads service to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites through advertising materials (so-called Google AdWords). We can determine the success of individual advertising measures in relation to the data from the advertising campaigns. Our goal is to show you ads that are of interest to you, make our website more appealing to you, and achieve a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.

The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google Ads. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. These cookies generally expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged for conversion tracking. However, they do not receive any information that would allow personal identification of users.

In the context of using Google Ads, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.

Details about the processing triggered by Google Ads Conversion Tracking and Google's handling of data from websites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

You can also permanently object to the setting of cookies by Google Ads Conversion Tracking by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:
https://support.google.com/My-Ad-Center-Help/answer/12155656?hl=de

To address users whose data we have received in the context of business or business-like relationships with more relevant advertising, we use a customer matching feature within Google Ads. For this purpose, we electronically transmit one or more files containing aggregated customer data (mainly email addresses and phone numbers) to Google. Google does not gain access to clear data but automatically encrypts the information in the customer files during the transmission process using a special algorithm. The encrypted information can then only be used by Google to match it to existing Google accounts set up by the individuals concerned. This enables the delivery of personalized advertising across all Google services linked to the respective Google account.

11.6 Google Marketing Platform

This website uses the online marketing tool Google Marketing Platform operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("GMP").

GMP uses cookies to display relevant ads to users, improve campaign performance reports, or to prevent a user from seeing the same ads multiple times. Through a cookie ID, Google records which ads are shown in which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed repeatedly. Additionally, GMP can use cookie IDs to track so-called conversions related to ad requests. This is the case, for example, when a user sees a GMP ad and later visits the advertiser's website using the same browser and makes a purchase through that website. According to Google, GMP cookies do not contain personal information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server.

This website uses conversion tracking technology from the following provider: Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA

For the use of Universal Event Tracking, a tag is placed on every page of our website that interacts with the conversion cookie set by Microsoft. The purpose is to statistically record and evaluate certain predefined goals such as purchases or leads to better tailor the targeting and content of our offers to interests. The tags are never used for personal identification of users.

All processing described above, especially the setting of cookies to read information on the device used, is only carried out if you have given us your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your given consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please follow the option described above to object.

Data may also be transmitted to: Google LLC, USA

The processing of personal data in the course of establishing contact with the provider of the fonts is only carried out if you have given us your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your given consent at any time with effect for the future by disabling this service via the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European data protection level based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

12.9 hCaptcha

On this website, we use the CAPTCHA service of the following provider: Intuition Machines, Inc., 350 Alabama St, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA

The service checks whether an input is made by a natural person or abusively by machine and automated processing, and blocks spam, DDoS attacks, and similar automated malicious access. To ensure that an action is performed by a human and not by an automated bot, the provider collects the IP address of the device used, identification data of the browser and operating system type used, as well as the date and duration of the visit, and transmits these for evaluation to the provider's servers.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in determining individual responsibility on the internet and preventing abuse and spam according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

For the transfer of data to the USA, the provider relies on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which are intended to ensure compliance with the European data protection level.

12.10 Google Customer Reviews (formerly Google Certified Shops Program)

We cooperate with Google within the framework of the "Google Customer Reviews" program. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). This program allows us to collect customer reviews from users of our website. After a purchase on our website, you will be asked whether you would like to participate in an email survey from Google.

If you give your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, we will transmit your email address to Google. You will receive an email from Google Customer Reviews asking you to rate your purchase experience on our website. The rating you provide will then be combined with our other reviews and displayed in our Google Customer Reviews logo as well as in our Merchant Center dashboard. Additionally, your review will be used for Google Seller Ratings. As part of using Google Customer Reviews, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.

You can revoke your consent at any time by sending a message to the data controller or directly to Google.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European data protection level based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

This website uses a so-called "Cookie Consent Tool" to obtain effective user consents for cookies requiring consent and cookie-based applications. The "Cookie Consent Tool" is displayed to users as an interactive interface when they visit the site, where consents for specific cookies and/or cookie-based applications can be granted by ticking checkboxes. By using the tool, all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if the respective user has given the corresponding consent by ticking the checkboxes. The tool sets technically necessary cookies to save your cookie preferences. Personal user data is generally not processed in this context.

Another legal basis for processing is also Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. As controllers, we are legally obliged to make the use of technically unnecessary cookies dependent on the respective user consent.

Where necessary, we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider to ensure the protection of our website visitors' data and to prohibit unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

The information collected in this way is transmitted to a server of the provider and stored there.
