PiedmontThe area around Nizza, perhaps the best terroir for Barbera, is characterized by distinctive clay and sandy soils that produce a wine which particularly highlights the aromas and freshness of this grape variety.
This Barbera, aged in first and second use oak barrels, shows a rich fruit. Floral notes of violets as well as hints of chocolate and licorice perfect the aroma. On the palate, it is lush and balanced, smooth and surprisingly fresh in the finish.
