TuscanyOne of the most magnificent Trebbiano wines in the world, made from 100 percent organic grapes. The Trebbiano clone from Val d’Arno has been known for its unique quality for centuries. "Boggina B" is made from grapes from the "Poggio" vineyard. The old vines were planted here in the 1970s, but only since 2014 have the grapes for this unique white wine been vinified separately.
Pure, extremely meticulous hand harvesting, then fermented with wild yeasts from the vineyards in 500-liter oak tonneaux and aged for 15 months on the fine lees, with the initial bâtonnage, that is, stirring of the lees in the barrel, gradually reduced.
Already on the nose, the wine is fresher than the brilliant examples from the famously renowned producers of Abruzzo, yet overall in the same league. Seductively creamy and yet with such ultra brilliant acidity and freshness. Infinitely long, nutty, creamy, and salty mineral.
Especially when young, the wine benefits from sufficient air. Unfortunately, only a few thousand bottles are produced each year.
