De Sousa is a 10-hectare small family business in Avize in the heart of the Côte des Blancs.
The winery is currently run in the 2nd generation by Erick Sousa.
Since 1995, organic practices have been used, and since 2002, biodynamic methods have been employed. The soil is partially plowed with horses. Sulfites in the champagne are kept to a minimum, and the first fermentation occurs with natural yeasts.
