Nebbiolo grapes are the basis of the great red wines of Piedmont, Barolo, Barbaresco, Gattinara, and Bramaterra. In 2010, 'Le Pianelle' started with a modern interpretation of this grape variety, a Rosato that is made up of over 90% Nebbiolo and just under 10% Vespolina and Croatina. The grapes are hand-harvested from selected parcels of the vineyards, destemmed, and fermented 90% in steel barrels at low temperatures. 10% of the grapes ferment in Stockinger oak barrels.
The result is a characterful rosé wine that pairs excellently with food and can also be enjoyed over three to five years.
Al Posto dei Fiori – 'In place of flowers' - That's what it's called, and its scent is enchanting. Excellent both in summer and winter, with a mineral taste and distinct aromas of wild strawberries and raspberries. Additionally, it has light plum and spicy notes, with impressive body and length for a rosé. A great wine!
