50% Tempranillo, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot. In L'Angelet, a selection of the best grapes from the oldest vines of the winery is used. All grapes are hand-picked. The method of aging tends to optimize the technical effort. 35% of the wine remains in barriques (225Ltr.) made of French oak for 16 months. Bottling occurs without prior filtration or fining. Only in truly good wine years is part of L'Angelet made into L'Angelet d'Or and remains in the barrel for a few more months (L'Angelet 12 months) to give the wine another level of quality. This happened in 2000, 2004, and then again in 2011.
On the palate, a substantial play of aromas of black berries, espresso, and vanilla. Opulent and smooth tannins.
