Named after the "Arca Aurita," a fossil sea shell found in the soil of the vineyard. This is also the secret behind its seductively mineral taste. Its bouquet recalls cocoa, blackcurrant jam, and rosemary alongside elegant spicy and balsamic notes.

The wine matures for 18 months in barrique barrels and at least 12 months in the bottle.

Tenuta Podernovo is beautifully situated on a hill in the municipality of Terricciola, in the heart of the prestigious and emerging wine region of the hills around Pisa. The special geographical location and soil composition, rich in sand and fossil deposits, create an optimal microclimate and conditions for viticulture: Wine has been and remains the historical and cultural identity of the region and represents an element of continuity – from the Etruscans to the present day.

The winery was built with the utmost care for the shape of the surroundings and with special attention to preserving the surrounding landscape. This goal was achieved through the use of local stone and colors perfectly in harmony with the environment.
