The Gavi Ventola DOCG from La Bollina is an extremely versatile, well-balanced, noble white wine made from the typical Piedmontese Cortese grapes, which provide a unique freshness and a floral bouquet in the glass. The Gavi Ventola presents itself in a warm, intense straw-yellow color. On the nose, it shows an incredible scent of jasmine and almond, accompanied by wonderful aromas of pear, peach, mirabelle plum, and vanilla. On the palate, it is soft, creamy with a nice acidity and a fine minerality that ensures a delightful freshness.

Then, unlike most Gavi, the Ventola is partially aged in new barrique barrels and refined through batonnage. By aging for 6 months in wooden barrels, it becomes soft and creamy, gaining structure and additional aromas.

The winery La Bollina produces wines that are the exact expression of the region of origin. These are wines that flow into the glass as naturally as possible.

La Bollina

The Tenuta La Bollina, seat of the Marquise Figari of Genoa for centuries, is located in a historic area dedicated to the production of Gavi DOCG, and extends over 120 hectares in a landscape of gentle hills, selected vineyards, and chestnut forests. Inside the estate, in addition to the agricultural operation covering 28 hectares of vineyards with a fully equipped production cellar, there is a 4-star hotel, a golf course, and a conference center.

The portfolio includes, besides various Gavi wines, also red and white wines from the DOC Monferrato, as well as a sweet wine and a spumante. Extensive investments in the cellar and vineyards guarantee impeccable quality. Additionally, La Bollina operates wine projects throughout Italy such as Távros in Apulia, Corte Medicea and Ducato Grazioli in Tuscany. Among others, Sangiovese and Primitivo are cultivated here.

In these diverse regions, oenologist Andrea Bernardini demonstrates his special intuition for the best terroir in Italy! "La Bollina presents wines of analytical and sensory perfection," says Luca Maroni. Through new micro-oxygenation systems, the wines are vinified and maintained at the best temperature conditions.
