The AMOS cuvée showcases the terroir potential of the high Kurtatsch vineyards. AMOS is made from the best white grapes from the coolest vineyards located between 600 and 900 meters in elevation.

It is precisely this combination of grape varieties and locations that gives AMOS its unique character and style. To preserve the mountain freshness, no use of barrique was made. The long fine lees aging in large wooden barrels adds extra complexity. Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Grigio form the solid foundation (70%), while Riesling and Sauvignon give the wine its seductive bouquet of white peach, apricot, blossoms, and citrus fruit.

This creates a very complex, incomparable cuvée.

AMOS: the mountain wine.

Cantina Kurtatsch

The Kurtatsch winery is located directly on the Wine Road in the south of South Tyrol. In Kurtatsch, the varied inner-alpine continental climate with its over 2000 hours of sunshine per year and the cool evening winds create ideal conditions for the growth of highly aromatic fruity, full-bodied red wines and elegant, mineral white wines. +

The French speak of terroir when they mean the unique identity of a wine. This distinctive origin is the greatest asset of the Kurtatsch wines. The soils are rich in limestone, offer good water permeability, and are sometimes mixed with clay. The secret of great wines lies beneath the earth: the unique Kurtatsch vineyard potential extends from 250 to 900 meters above sea level on rugged, sometimes adventurously steep hill and slope sites, where ancient rock communicates mysteriously through the wine.
