Traditional Pecorino made from sheep's milk, crafted according to old artisanal methods in Sardinia. The Pecorino Moliterno matures for several months, developing a brown, cracked rind and a firm, ivory-colored paste with occasional holes.
Its taste is strong and spicy with a clearly noticeable sheep's milk aroma and a fine salty note. The texture is compact, slightly crumbly, yet creamy in the mouthfeel.
A flavorful cheese - ideal as a grating cheese for pasta, to enhance baked dishes, or enjoyed on its own with a glass of robust red wine.
