Vino Lauria Grillo Giardinello DOC Sicilia 2024 | Piemont Express

Grillo originally comes from the flat, limestone-rich soils around Trapani. Vito Lauria’s plot is called Giardinello di Rapitalà and is located about 50 kilometers further east on the gently rolling slopes around Alcamo at 600 to 700 meters elevation, facing north. This allows for a long, even ripening and optimal aromatic expression of the variety.

Information about the vinification:

The grapes are pressed and macerated temperature-controlled on the skins for 24 hours. Fermented spontaneously in stainless steel tanks, the wine matures on the lees for six months before being released for sale.
