Cantina Terlan
In the middle of the Terlan wine-growing area, one of the first wine cooperatives in South Tyrol was founded in 1893. At that time, 24 winegrowers set the goal of joint production and marketing promotion. Today, the winery, with about 120 members, a cultivation area of 150 ha, and an annual total production of 18,000 hl, is one of the smaller businesses in the country.
namely 1.4 million bottles among the smaller businesses in the country. The manageable size significantly contributes to quality assurance. Under the expert supervision of oenologist Rudi Kofler, 70% white and 30% red wines mature in the modern winery, all of which have the D.O.C. classification. Terlan wines have stored the characteristics of climate and soil within them. Great importance is placed on preserving and emphasizing the terroir during their careful development. The result is unmistakable, very distinctive wines that are characterized by fruit and elegance, but also by impressive density and longevity.
