A magnificent Rioja, the Roda Reserva from Bodegas Roda: A blend of Tempranillo, Graciano & Garnacha from vines over 30 years old, aged for 16 months in French barriques (50% new, 50% used). Afterward, the Reserva matures for about 20 months in the bottle. 

In the glass, a dense, robust cherry red. The bouquet is seductive and expressive with aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry, ripe blackberry, elderberry, fine roasted notes, hints of cedarwood, mocha, caramel, and licorice. On the palate, the exciting aromatic profile continues, powerful and complex, yet always remaining on the elegant, fresh side; the tannins are very well integrated, with delicate dried fruit aromas, spicy notes, and a long finish.
