Region
RiojaThe main variety of Roda I Blanco is Viura, accompanied by a small proportion of Malvasía and Garnacha Blanca, three native white grape varieties in Rioja, sourced from old vines planted on tertiary sandstone and marl soils. Traditional cultivation is practiced, and the harvest is done manually at the optimal ripeness.
At the winery, the selected and destemmed grapes are then macerated in French oak vats and later fermented in the same vats as well as in French oak barrels. Finally, the wine ages for 18 months in these French oak barrels, and after bottling, it remains for another 18 months in the bottle before being released to the market.
Every sip is a tribute to discovery, innovation, and passion for the art of Rioja wine. The Roda I Blanco embodies the courage and vision of Bodegas Roda. This winery's first white wine is the result of persistence, capturing the essence of oenological excellence. This was only possible with ample time and dedication.
