Maximin Grünhaus: Abtsberg Grosses Gewächs 2022

The GG from Abtsberg clearly shows the typical character of the site. The nose recalls ripe fruits like apricot, peach, and yellow apple. Nuances of wet stone, wild herbs, and white blossoms hint at the complex wine in the glass. The scent of green tea and woodruff gives it its distinctive character. On the palate, it is slender and extremely precise. It shows a beautifully ripe fruit perfectly balanced with its salty minerality and delicate acidity.

On the finish, orange zest and Williams pear, combined with lemon balm and a wonderfully ripe salted lemon. It leaves a creamy yet juicy mouthfeel. A very slender, elegant yet extract-rich wine with fine grip and depth.
