Vintage in 0.75 L already sold out. This is the first vintage in which Al Forte was also produced. This additional selection definitely did not harm the wine. Probably the best Bramaterra vintage from Le Pianelle so far.
Nebbiolo grapes are the basis of Bramaterra. According to DOC regulations, it consists of 80% Nebbiolo and 20% Vespolina/Croatina. The grapes are handpicked exclusively in several passes; the different varieties and vineyards are harvested and vinified separately. The first phase of winemaking (fermentation and maceration) takes place in open Grenier oak vats. The young wine is then aged in repeatedly used barrique barrels and subsequently in large Stockinger oak barrels before being bottled after two years. It then matures for another one to two years before it is ready for the shelf.
A wine of great elegance and untamed power. In the glass, it presents itself in a lively ruby red. On the nose, you can sense aromas of forest fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant, raspberry) as well as floral notes of violet. Added to this is the minerality derived from the porphyry soils, a distinct note of white pepper. We are sure – this wine will still make a splash.
