This Aligoté Vieilles Vignes comes from a plot planted in 1933 in the Lieu-dit Loigny vineyard in Saint-Bris-le-Vineux. Due to the very advanced age of the vines, this Aligoté is of exceptional depth and ripeness.
Unlike usual, this Aligote is not only suitable for drinking directly and should definitely not be used for Kir.
Originally, aligote was always used in kir. It's no longer common practice these days and is definitely a waste for this wine.

Clotilde Davenne
Clotilde Davenne is one of the most dynamic winemakers of Burgundy, and many already refer to her as the new Grande Dame of Chablis. For 17 years, she worked as a winemaker at the renowned Domaine Brocard, where she earned an outstanding reputation. In 2004, she produced her first own wine at her Domaine Les Temps Perdus, which is located in Préhy, 7.5 km southwest of Chablis, and now encompasses 23 hectares. In addition to the great Chablis, her love also extends to lesser-known appellations, such as Yonne. She is particularly proud of vineyards in Saint-Bris and Irancy, where she has exceptionally old vine stocks. Here, she owns parcels with vines over 115 years old of Sauvignon blanc and 85-year-old Aligoté.
