On the mineral-rich limestone soils, the French, small-berried Chardonnay clones show true greatness and juiciness. That is why the Doran is deliberately crafted following the Burgundian model. The fermentation takes place 100% in tonneaux, 30% of which are new wood. Through regular bâtonnage, the wood tone integrates perfectly.

Cantina Andrian
The Cantina Andrian was founded on April 25, 1893, by 31 winemakers and is thus the oldest winery cooperative in South Tyrol. The wines received great attention and brought respectable prices and awards back to South Tyrol. In the 1980s, the Cantina Andrian set the first standards with the introduction of the selection line "Tor di Lupo" and the wine of the same name. This Lagrein was one of the first in South Tyrol to be aged in small oak barrels. The success encouraged the Cantina Andrian, and shortly thereafter, the selection line was expanded to include other grape varieties: Chardonnay, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc. This was an important step towards quality optimization of the cooperative. About 20 years later, in 2008, the merger with Cantina Terlan took place. This combines the strengths of both businesses and allows them to conquer the wine world together as a strong team.
