In 1928, the Chiaverini brothers began producing jams in a small manufactory on the outskirts of Florence. At that time, they were sold loose, wrapped in paper. The goods were delivered by bicycles, which used large wicker baskets as a means of transport. The Florentine customers were both shops and private individuals. In the 1930s, the brothers then invented the packaging made of cardboard and aluminum, which is still used almost unchanged today. The nostalgic drawing of fruit on it clearly also dates from that time. Meanwhile, production has increased and the jams are exported internationally. Handmade craftsmanship is still involved.
