Zehnthof Luckert: Maustal GG 2023 - Silvaner

The Silvaner comes from the Maustal vineyard, located south of Sulzfeld am Main a four-hectare vineyard facing south and southeast. The steep slope is characterized by the sparse and skeletal Upper Muschelkalk.

The vines for the Silvaner are the oldest self-planted vines, dating from 1962 and 1963. What is special here is that it is Yellow Silvaner and not Green Silvaner that was planted.

As always at the Zehnthof Luckert winery are hand-harvested here, destemmed, given a slightly longer maceration period, and spontaneously fermented.

Luckert's wines are matured in classic double-barrel casks made of Spessart oak.
