In the oldest vineyards of San Leonardo, a grape variety grows that was long mistaken for Cabernet Franc but was revealed to be Carmenère after replanting. This grape unfolds its full potential in the unique microclimate of the San Leonardo vineyards and has now almost become a symbol of the winery. As a single-varietal wine, the Carmenère impresses with intense aromas of blackberries and plums, accompanied by an enticing spiciness on the nose. On the palate, it is smooth and balanced, with fine, silky tannins. Alongside the lush fruit, fresh, tart notes of foliage and herbs emerge. A wine of exceptional quality!
