It comes from a vineyard called El Plà de Manlleu in Ester Nins' hometown in Alt Penedès. She and Carles Ortiz planted a field blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, Chenin blanc, and Parellada Montonega on one hectare there. The vines are located at 750 meters altitude on clay and limestone. After harvest, the grapes are slowly pressed and macerated with skins and stems for 2 days; spontaneous fermentation took place in barrique barrels. Afterwards, it aged for 8 months in 9 barriques (300 l), 1 barrique (225 l), and 3 years in the bottle.
