Nebbiolo grapes are the foundation of Bramaterra. According to DOC regulations, it consists of 80% Nebbiolo and 20% Vespolina/Croatina. The grapes are handpicked exclusively in several passes; the different varieties and vineyards are harvested and vinified separately. The first phase of winemaking (fermentation and maceration) takes place in open Grenier oak vats. The young wine is then aged in repeatedly used barrique barrels and subsequently in large Stockinger oak casks before being bottled after two years. It then matures for another one to two years before it is ready for sale.
A wine of great elegance and untamed power. In the glass, it shows a lively ruby red. On the nose, you can sense aromas of forest fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant, raspberry) as well as floral notes of violet. Added to this is the minerality derived from the porphyry soils, with a distinct hint of white pepper. We are confident – this wine will make a splash.
