French vintage sardines from Brittany.
With our vintage sardines, we offer you a particularly fine specialty: they are only ever caught at the end of the season, usually in September. Because then the sardines are "vraiment exceptionnel" and have the right size. The catches are freshly processed, hand-selected, and packed not too tightly in first-class, cold-pressed olive oil.
In their collector's vintage tins specially designed by the artist Coralie Joulin, they can then mature peacefully. Stored in a cool place, the oil can circulate particularly well and penetrate the fish from all sides. Especially when the tins are turned every 3-6 months. The longer they mature, the more tender and flavorful the sardines become.
The vintage sardines, highly sought after by gourmets, have a minimum shelf life of 10 years but can be stored for much longer.
