The young and very dynamic Monte Cimo winery exclusively processes PIWI grapevines. PIWI refers to grapevines that are "fungus-resistant." These are hybrid grape varieties created by crossing the European species Vitis vinifera with American or even Asian species. The resulting grape crosses are resistant to fungal and parasite diseases and are called super-organic wines due to the minimal to almost nonexistent use of chemical products or pesticides in the vineyard, without compromising the quality of the final product.

The excellent Sauvignon Tre Vie is made from the three robust grape varieties Maris, (Sauvignon) Rytos, and (Sauvignon) Kretos.

The intense bouquet is very aromatic, fragrant, and delights with mineral notes. On the palate, flavors of fresh fruits, citrus fruits, and flowers emerge.

Monte Cimo’s Sauvignon Tre Vie is a wine that knows how to evoke emotions and fully showcase the potential of these fascinating grape varieties.

Monte Cimo

Monte Cimo is a young company founded in 2018 in Spiazzi, in the municipality of Caprino Veronese, on the slopes of Monte Baldo.

Francesco Chiamenti, who runs the company, has always been fascinated by the world of wine, having experimented with winemaking from the grapes of the small vineyard at his home since childhood with his father, a pediatrician, and his grandfather, a carpenter.

After studying oenology, he gained extensive experience in various fields, from biodynamic farms to large producers, with a clear mission: to challenge himself and create his own wine.

His wife Serena decided to follow Francesco after studying economics and marketing and gaining experience at a winery.
