Cyril Jeaunaux runs a vineyard in the third generation and switched to biodynamic farming in 2015. In the far south of the Côte des Blancs, by the Petit Morin river, lies the village of Tallus Les Prix. Here, Champagne is still truly rural. Nothing suggests luxury or the jet set. Due to cool air from the surrounding hills, the vineyards in the valley are at risk of late frost. Pinot Meunier, which dominates here, is best equipped to handle this.
A small portion of the grapes comes from the Côte des Bar, where Cyril also manages one hectare of vineyards.
The wines are aged in used barriques. Malolactic fermentation is avoided whenever possible. This results in very individual and honest Champagnes that combine lively acidity, minerality, and drinkability.
