The wine is a tribute to Galileo Guerrieri (born 1855), an ancestor of the Guerrieri family, for his hard and dedicated work in the vineyard.

A delicious and smooth wine with structure and plenty of fruit. The aroma is wonderfully spicy, with immediate notes of wild berries and plums that intensify with the first sip. A bright ruby-red wine, young, fresh, and harmonious with a delicate aroma of cherries and berries.

The Galileo from Guerrieri is made from pure Sangiovese grapes with a small portion of Montepulciano. A wine of great and immediate enjoyment, especially highlighting the fragrant and fruity side of Sangiovese.

In the glass, it shows a ruby-red color, expressing the full elegance, substance, and depth of a great Sangiovese on the nose. Notes of ripe plums, small red fruits, tobacco, and licorice accompany the nose in a context of great complexity. On the palate, it reveals intense freshness, medium body, juicy fruit, and full youthful vigor.

The vines are cultivated using the spur cordon method. The average yield is 1.5 kg per plant. Hand harvesting takes place in the third week of September with careful grape selection. They then undergo a 15-day maceration fermentation at controlled temperature.

Afterwards, red wine production continues at controlled fermentation temperature. The wine then matures for 12 months in large barrels and a further 12 months in bottles.

Grape varieties: 90% Sangiovese and 10% Montepulciano

Serving suggestion: Galileo pairs best with meat, small game, cold cuts, and matching cheese.

Warriors

We discovered the winery at ProWein 2024. We already liked it very much back then, but we still preferred to taste 1-2 more times.

Great wines and finally a winery from the Marche in our portfolio. Now let's hear from the Guerrieri family why the wines turn out so well:

"

OUR PHILOSOPHY: True farmers

Every plant, every tree has a name and a meaning: to remind us that every day on Earth a miracle helps us live.

We are not just winemakers, olive growers, or grain farmers. We are real farmers and as such determined to live by the same principles that have guided our work for centuries:

Control of the entire supply chain:

We monitor the entire supply chain, literally from the ground up and only through the watchful eyes of our "employees." Only in this way can we ensure that all our products are genuine, as if we were feeding those who matter most to us.

Diversification:

We diversify our production in an effort to reflect the full potential of our land. Combining old rural wisdom with cutting-edge science and technology ensures that our workers can attend to the needs of our farmland throughout the year. Using this approach, we can reduce the risks inherent in any single production by complying with the rules of crop rotation, which maintain the natural fertility of our land.

Appreciating the identity of our territory:

Our entire production aims to enhance the products of our region to demonstrate the quality of the wine, oil, and pasta from the Pesaro area and the Marche.

Ecological sustainability:

Our operation is powered by solar energy. We live and work in a land "flooded" with sun. The sun not only provides energy for the life of our plants (photosynthesis) but also for our production processes.
In summer 2011, we installed a 300-kWp photovoltaic system exclusively on the roofs of our operational buildings. We reject any ground-mounted photovoltaic systems.
The energy produced exceeds the needs of all our production processes; excess energy is therefore fed into our grid and distributed for the benefit of other local consumers.

In 1996, in collaboration with ASSAM, we installed a weather station to monitor climate data, which we publish online and which is used by farmers in our area.
For over 10 years, we have been using plant-based nitrogen fertilizers in combination with green manure techniques.
