In Maconnais, the southernmost part of Burgundy, the Domaine Barraud lies below the famous rock Roche de Vergisson. At 485 meters, it overlooks the village of Vergisson and is practically the "local mountain" of the Domaine. Since 1912, the family has been passionately working in the vineyards: connected to tradition, but always up to date. They are long-time members of the winemakers' association Bourgogne Sud and contribute with their reputation to the fact that the handcrafted wines, made in harmony with nature, from Maconnais enjoy a first-class reputation worldwide. Each wine has its own profile, but all impress with fullness and smoothness.
