The Franciacorta Ammonites Satèn Brut DOCG from Camilucci is an exclusive Italian sparkling wine from the renowned Franciacorta region in Lombardy. As one of the most elegant Franciacorta styles, Satèn stands for silky-soft bubbles, creamy texture, and the finest balance. This high-quality Franciacorta from Italy is made exclusively from Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc and impresses with finesse, freshness, and mineral depth.

The term Satèn – which in Italian refers to the softness of the wine – perfectly describes the character of this noble sparkling wine: The reduced bottle pressure creates an especially gentle, elegant mousse that caresses the palate. A Franciacorta for wine lovers, connoisseurs, and experts who appreciate quality, origin, and artisanal precision.

The Camilucci Franciacorta Ammonites Satèn Brut presents itself as fresh, velvety, and harmonious. On the nose, aromas of apple, pear, white flowers, and citrus fruits appear, accompanied by subtle mineral notes. On the palate, it is soft, creamy, and elegant, with a fine acid structure and a long, balanced finish. A high-quality Franciacorta Satèn that perfectly combines elegance and enjoyment.

The grapes for this Franciacorta Satèn Brut come from carefully selected vineyards in Rodengo Saiano, Gussago, and Paderno, around Erbusco in the heart of Franciacorta. The approximately 20-year-old vines grow on moraine hill soils rich in weathered fossils and minerals. This unique terroir gives the wine its pronounced minerality, freshness, and elegance – typical characteristics of a great Franciacorta DOCG.

Vinification & Aging

The winemaking is carried out at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks to optimally preserve freshness and varietal character. After 6–8 months of aging, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle. The wine remains on the lees for at least 24 months, followed by an additional 6 months of bottle aging (affinage). This long maturation ensures fine bubbles, creamy structure, and aromatic complexity.

Camilucci

"Strict in respecting the terroir, unconventional in creating new aromatic blends" - Stefano Camilucci

This is Stefano's philosophy, whose portrait adorns every bottle, as the sketch of his head is the logo on all labels.

Here in Franciacorta, a small area in the foothills of the Alps, just a few kilometers from Lake Iseo and Brescia, in Lombardy, in the municipalities of Rodengo Saiano, Ome, Monticelli Brusati, and Gussago, with special microclimatic characteristics resembling the Mediterranean climate, this area is unique despite its location.

Right here lies the Camilucci winery amidst those gentle hills where vines have been growing for centuries, producing rare and high-quality products since ancient times.

In this region, the orographic features and special location create ideal climatic conditions for growing grapes with a distinctive aromatic bouquet, especially Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and Pinot Nero, which are rich in scents and flavors.

As a result of centuries of cultivation knowledge and the skill of master winemakers, Camilucci's Franciacorta embodies the essence of the region's winemaking tradition in every drop, without forgetting the family winemaking heritage that Stefano Camilucci has passionately inherited. To the traditional savoir-faire, Stefano adds his personal touch: innovation and experimenting with new harmonious combinations to make the nectar of his grape varieties unique and captivating.

All wines are aged only in steel tanks to prevent oxidation, and nowadays only zero dosage wines (i.e., without added sugar) are vinified.

I personally met Stefano years ago at ProWein and was already impressed by the wines back then. Now in 2026, the opportunity has finally arisen to include these wines in the range.

It's worth trying!
