The Cuvée Vendange Nocturne from Domaine de la Combe is a dry white wine with fresh acidity.

The grapes used to make this cuvée come from a unique terroir that gives them an aromatic unity deeply shaping the wine. The grapes were harvested at night to make optimal use of the cool temperatures. This process is by no means incidental but prevents oxidation of the grapes, thus preserving all the natural fruit aromas before pressing.

This wine is not aged and is bottled at the beginning of December to preserve the primary fruit aromas characteristic of this wine.

Domain of the Combe

The Domaine Gadais is located in the village of Saint-Fiacre in the appellation "Muscadet Sèvre et Maine." The estate manages over 100 different parcels, all planted with Melon de Bourgogne.

After his oenology studies in Bordeaux and Beaune, Pierre-Henri took over the family winery from his father in 2016.

During a stay abroad in Switzerland, his fascination for organic and biodynamic viticulture grew. In Pierre-Henri's work, respect for the product is always paramount. A low-intervention winemaking process (which also includes reducing sulfur additions) and organic vineyard work are evidence of this development. Currently, a new cellar is being built where the wine is moved exclusively by gravity.

The Muscadet region is known for its variety of soil types. These include mica schist, orthogneiss, and granite. Melon de Bourgogne is perfectly suited to reflect the subtle differences between the terroirs. Therefore, the family focuses entirely on the indigenous variety Melon de Bourgogne. The grape variety has been found in the region since 1616 and has perfectly adapted over the centuries to the Atlantic climate and the soil types of the region.

In addition to the classic "Muscadet sur Lie," many other wine styles are produced here that showcase the variety of the grape. The wines of the Domaine have nothing to do with the insignificant seafood companions often found in the region.
