TuscanyFor the production of Montecchiesi Miraly Rosé, the Dal Cero family conducted extensive, careful research on rosé wines in France. They also explored the potential of the territory in Cortona, Tuscany. In 2019, the first vintage was released.
The resulting Miralý is fascinating; the nose impresses with notes of fresh citrus fruits, hints of grapefruit, and a finish recalling strawberries. On the palate, it is very juicy with a fruity core, crisp and concentrated. Its finish is long-lasting and precise. A very beautiful, delicate rosé wine.
The fresh Montecchiesi Miraly Rosé presents itself in a bright pale pink in the glass. It captivates the nose with notes of fresh fruits such as wild strawberries and currants. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, with notes of citrus fruits and grapefruit, good acidity, and flavor. Overall, an elegant and at the same time flavorful rosé wine.
The grapes for the Miraly Rosé grow in Cortona, Tuscany. The vineyards are located in Montecchio and Manzano, at an altitude of 270 meters above sea level. Here, the vines are cultivated using the Guyot system with a planting density of 5,000 to 8,000 vines per hectare.
The careful manual harvest takes place from late August to early September.
Winemaking takes place in the cellar through gentle pressing and extraction of the pomace juice. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine then matures for three months in stainless steel tanks, during which the noble lees are stirred weekly. Before the Miraly is released to the market, it spends at least another 45 days in the bottle.
