Region
Piedmont

Made from Cortese grapes, which have dominated the Gavi area in Piedmont since the 18th century, this Gavi from La Bollina presents itself as a very soft, delicate wine. In the glass, it shows a bright straw-yellow color and releases fragrant citrus fruits on the nose, with hints of tropical fruits and acacia blossoms. On the palate, it is dry, velvety, and smooth.

Overall, a delicate, dry wine with a pleasant acidity and softness, leaving room for a fruity, long-lasting finish. Suitable for fish dishes and appetizers.

After a short and gentle maceration, the juice is separated from the skins, followed by alcoholic fermentation in the tank. The aging takes place at a low temperature in the tank on the lees. This preserves freshness and gives the wine good structure and balance.

La Bollina

The Tenuta La Bollina, seat of the Marquise Figari of Genoa for centuries, is located in a historic area dedicated to the production of Gavi DOCG, and extends over 120 hectares in a landscape of gentle hills, selected vineyards, and chestnut forests. Inside the estate, in addition to the agricultural operation covering 28 hectares of vineyards with a fully equipped production cellar, there is a 4-star hotel, a golf course, and a conference center.

The portfolio includes, besides various Gavi wines, also red and white wines from the DOC Monferrato, as well as a sweet wine and a spumante. Extensive investments in the cellar and vineyards guarantee impeccable quality. Additionally, La Bollina operates wine projects throughout Italy such as Távros in Apulia, Corte Medicea and Ducato Grazioli in Tuscany. Among others, Sangiovese and Primitivo are cultivated here.

In these diverse regions, oenologist Andrea Bernardini demonstrates his special intuition for the best terroir in Italy! "La Bollina presents wines of analytical and sensory perfection," says Luca Maroni. Through new micro-oxygenation systems, the wines are vinified and maintained at the best temperature conditions.
