This Franciacorta is truly different! The young entrepreneurs are taking new paths! It starts with the fact that this Franciacorta, made in the Champagne style, is aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks. Some may miss the usual barrel aroma. However, we are simply thrilled.

The grapes are selectively hand-harvested (baskets of max. 18 kg). The average annual production is: 6,000 bottles

Yield per hectare: 95 quintals of grapes / ha = 35 hl / ha. These new approaches in Franciacorta clearly set it apart from houses like Ca'Del Bosco.

90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Blanc.

Saten is always bottled with lower bottle pressure (5 bar instead of 6 bar) and therefore has a silkier mouthfeel. The name Saten comes from the local dialect word for silk.

Micro winery run by 2 positively "crazy" people. Gigi and Daniele.

They have been making excellent Franciacortas here for years. A look at the homepage is worth it for the lovingly designed vineyard descriptions. Sometimes you can even find something like that on one of the rare collector's boxes. Wonderful.

Content-wise, of course, not always up to date.

Especially Orfano Riserva really has nothing to hide compared to any other Franciacorta. I would say it is one of the best Franciacortas in Italy.
