Chateau Marjosse - Pierre Lurton

Château Marjosse is a historic estate dating back to 1782. It is located about 14 km south of Saint Emilion and is surrounded by 40 hectares of vineyards. The vines grow on exceptional clay and limestone soils.

The winemaker and wine merchant Pierre Lurton, born and raised on a neighboring estate, purchased Château Marjosse in several stages starting in 1991. Since then, he has produced red and white wines here with excellent value for money.

Pierre Lurton likes to call Château Marjosse a "secret garden." He applies his "Grand Cru" principles to this lesser-known region in Bordeaux. There are young and old vines, some nearly a hundred years old, with Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon for red wines, and Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and a bit of Muscadelle for the white wines.
