The Cuvée Vendange Nocturne from Domaine de la Combe is a dry white wine with fresh acidity.

The grapes used to produce this cuvée come from a unique terroir that gives them an aromatic unity, deeply shaping the wine. The grapes were harvested at night to make the most of the cool temperatures. This process is by no means incidental; it prevents oxidation of the grapes and thus preserves all the natural fruit aromas before pressing.

This wine is not aged and is bottled in early December to retain the primary fruit aromas characteristic of this wine.

Domaine de la Combe

Domaine Gadais is located in the village of Saint-Fiacre in the "Muscadet Sèvre et Maine" appellation. The estate manages over 100 different parcels, all planted with Melon de Bourgogne.

After studying oenology in Bordeaux and Beaune, Pierre-Henri took over the family winery from his father in 2016.

During a stay abroad in Switzerland, his fascination for organic and biodynamic viticulture grew. Respect for the product is always central to Pierre-Henri's work. Low-intervention winemaking (including reducing sulfur additions) and organic vineyard practices are evidence of this approach. Currently, a new cellar is being built where the wine is moved exclusively by gravity.

The Muscadet region is known for its variety of soil types, including mica schist, orthogneiss, and granite. Melon de Bourgogne is perfectly suited to reflect the subtle differences between these terroirs. For this reason, the family focuses entirely on the indigenous Melon de Bourgogne variety. This grape has been found in the region since 1616 and has perfectly adapted over the centuries to the Atlantic climate and local soil types.

In addition to the classic "Muscadet sur Lie," many other wine styles are produced here to showcase the variety's diversity. The wines from Domaine Gadais have nothing in common with the trivial seafood pairings often found in the region.
