In the Maconnais, the southernmost part of Burgundy, lies the Domaine Barraud below the famous rock Roche de Vergisson. At 485 meters, it towers over the village of Vergisson and is virtually the "home mountain" of the Domaine. Since 1912, the family has been working passionately in the vineyards: connected to tradition, but always up to date. It is a long-standing member of the winemakers' association Bourgogne Sud and contributes with its reputation to the fact that the handcrafted and naturally vinified wines of the Maconnais enjoy a first-class reputation worldwide. Each wine has its own profile, but all impress with richness and smoothness.
