It is a natural hybrid of the Cabernet Franc and Merlot grape varieties and is grown exclusively at the Podere Il Carnasciale winery worldwide.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis extraordinary experiment was initiated by the oenologist Peter Schilling, who extracts magic from the grapes. Until the 2021 vintage, Il Carnasciale was aged similarly to Il Caberlot, and only after barrel tasting was it decided which barrel would become Il Caberlot or Il Carnasciale. Since 2021, it has been clear in advance what will become Carnasciale.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis wine is bottled in 0.75 L bottles and is available one year earlier than the Caberlot.
