BurgundyThe Domaine Cachat-Ocquidant, now managed by Jean Marc Cachat, is located in the village of Ladoix at the foot of the famous Corton hill. In addition to a larger range of red wines, a smaller quantity of very interesting white wines is also produced, often referred to as insider tips by sommeliers. For a long time, Jean Marc tended the Coche-Durys plots on the legendary Corton and also assisted in the wine maturation at Coche. Thus, they always show a mineral appellation character with contemporary vinification and great sensitivity in the use of wood. However, the core competence of the Domaine clearly lies in finely spiced red wines from Ladoix, Aloxe, Savigny, and Chorey. The monopole of Corton Clos des Vergennes has been one of the most reliable wines of this Grand Cru site for many years. Jean-Marc Cachat's wine from this plot has class, character, a mineral core, and remarkable depth.
