After that, the wine is pressed and then aged for another four to five months in three to four-year-old French barriques, followed by a few more months of bottle aging. \"Keir\" means \"handcrafted\" in Ancient Greek. There are only 2,500 bottles of this exceptional wine produced each year.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKeir is always the more elegant Syrah, while Per Sempre is the powerhouse of the winery.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDeep, bright ruby red. The nose is dark-berry with lots of blackberries, plums, and some blueberries. Fine fresh herbs from rosemary to sage to thyme and blond tobacco add complexity – this spice perfectly embodies and reflects the Tuscan coast. On the palate, the wine is juicy and intense. Cherries roll over the tongue. Pepper spice, cedarwood, a hint of cinnamon, then herbal spice again. The tannins are velvety, almost creamy, leaving earthy petrol, candle wax, and dark chocolate in the mouth. This intense finesse and versatility, combined with phenomenal balance, is simply brilliant!
