The Nebbiolo grape, known here as Spanna, produces a unique wine style in Gattinara that noticeably differs from its relatives in Langhe. The 2019 Gattinara stands out for its exceptional ripeness and intensity, reflecting the terroir of Gattinara. The volcanic soils contribute to complex aromas of dark berries, truffle, and herbs. On the palate, the wine is powerful and structured, with lively acidity and firm tannins that promise long aging potential.
