The bouquet is intense and complex, ranging from hints of citrus and tropical fruits to floral notes and pleasant nuances of herbs. On the palate, the wine is fresh and enveloping with a pleasant, spicy finish that lingers long. A fine and elegant white wine with a fascinating personality that promises surprising longevity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe vines for Vigna di Gabri grow in southwestern Sicily, at the Contessa Entellina estate and adjacent areas, vineyard “Vigna di Gabri.” The elevation ranges from 200 to 300 m above sea level. It is a hilly terrain with clay soil with a subalkaline reaction (pH value from 7.5 to 7.9), rich in nutrients (potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, manganese, zinc) and overall 20 to 35% limestone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier grapes are harvested in the first ten days of August. The Ansonica and Lucido (Catarratto) grapes are harvested in the first ten days of September. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a temperature of 15-16°C, followed by a 6-month aging (85% in tanks and 15% on fine lees in French oak barriques with second use). The Vigna di Gabri is then refined for at least 3 months in the bottle before being released to the market.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDESIGNER LABEL:\u003cbr\u003eVigna di Gabri is not a made-up name but a reference to the name of Gabriella Anca Rallo – co-founder of the winery together with her husband Giacomo of Donnafugata.
