The cherry variety "Morellenfeuer" originated in the mid-20th century as a cross between the "Ostheimer Weichsel" and "Früheste der Mark." "Morellenfeuer" cherries have a delicate aroma and a mild acidity. The fruit for this juice comes from the Danwitz orchard in Mönchengladbach, Lower Rhine region. The fruit processing at the van Nahmen cider mill and private press in Hamminkeln, Rhineland, has a long tradition. Nothing is removed or added to the juices: no preservatives, no flavorings. Special attention is given to the use of old fruit varieties and thus to the preservation of traditional, endangered cultivars.
